The JDI Partnership Ltd has recently
completed a review of the Repairs reporting Service
for Hillingdon Homes Ltd. The proposal submitted
in response to our invitation to quote was comprehensive
and satisfied our need in terms of understanding
and expected outcomes. The scope of the review was
to examine the way in which repairs requests are
handled within the repairs reporting centre, from
capture of the initial request through to completion
of the repair in order to identify strengths and
weaknesses and help to define the right strategy
for the function. The project was undertaken in
a very professional manner throughout and the individuals
involved in the project demonstrated understanding
and tact in dealing with staff and customers as
part of the appraisal process. The project timescale
was clearly set out at the opening meeting and progress
meetings were held as agreed – the timescale
was adhered to throughout. The outcomes of the review
were presented at a closing meeting and were fully
and clearly explained. The resulting Table of recommendations
has been translated into an action plan that has
provided us with the way forward for the repairs
reporting function. Overall we were very pleased
with the service received throughout the project.
